Nancy J. Kreider

Nancy J. Kreider, 94, of Annville, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at The Lebanon Valley Home. She was the loving wife of the late Ammon S. Kreider, who preceded her in death in 2016. Born in Newmanstown on March 26, 1931, Nancy was the daughter of the late Harry and Erma (Brill) Hertzog. She devoted her life to caring for her home and family, and she faithfully attended Lebanon Valley Bible Church. Nancy was a godly woman whose life reflected her deep spiritual roots. She especially treasured participating in Scofield Bible classes led by the late Pastor James Ober. Throughout her life, she found joy in gardening—particularly in growing saffron, her specialty. She canned a variety of foods with skill, including applesauce, peaches, jam, and pickles. Nancy also enjoyed traveling, sitting on her front porch to watch deer and birds, and taking peaceful walks. Known for her sense of humor, she delighted many as a good-natured prankster. Nancy’s grandchildren cherish many special memories with her. In her younger years, Nancy enjoyed hunting groundhogs with Derek. Aubrey fondly remembers playing piano with her at Sunnyside Church, while Alyssa treasures the countless sleepovers filled with games of Rummikub and Parcheesi shared with her gram. Nancy is survived by her children, Michael L. Kreider (Charlene) of Jefferson, GA; David A. Kreider of Lebanon, husband of the late Karen M. (Haffey) Kreider; and Rebekah R. Kreider of Lebanon. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Derek Kreider (Catalina), Aubrey Bielawa (Ryan), and Alyssa Van Houten (Ryan); and by her great-grandchildren: Ethan Bowman, Elin Kreider, Atticus Kreider, Denton Kreider, and Jemma Kreider. She is additionally survived by her foster brother, Robert Bross. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, Lebanon. A visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00–11:00 AM, prior to the service.
