Jeanne N. Dabich

Jeanne N. Dabich, 98, of Annville, passed away on Monday January 4, 2021 at the Lebanon Valley Home. She was the wife of the late Semo B. Dabich, who passed away in 1990. Jeanne was born in Reading, PA on August 24, 1922 to the late George S. and Carrie (Fryermuth) Brown. She was a 1939 Lebanon High School graduate. She had worked for Bell of PA and Indiantown Gap Military Reservation as a telephone operator, and as an office worker at Levitz Furniture Store in Lebanon. Following her graduation from Bryland Beauty School, she began her career as a beautician in 1948 at her husband’s beauty shop, Beauty by Semo. They worked together until selling the business in 1986. Jeanne retired as a stylist at age 81, after 55 years as a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Mark’s UCC and was very active with the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, both in Lebanon. She was a long-time member of the Lebanon County Choral Society. She was an accomplished seamstress, vocalist, pianist, music lover, reader and a volunteer at The Lebanon Valley Home. Jeanne’s family was extremely important to her, and she was the matriarch of the family. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her children, Natalie D. Bailey and her husband Michael of Somers Point, NJ, Thomas M. Dabich and his wife Joan of Harrisburg, five grandchildren, Meredith Bailey and her husband Nicholas Faccenda of West Mifflin, PA; Courtney O’Gara and her husband Colin of Montrose, NY; Alexis Guszick and her husband Stephen, III of Harrisburg; Vanessa Dabich and her husband Michael Cortinas of Milburn, New Jersey; Nicholas Dabich of Philadelphia, and seven great grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Ruth Anne Zimmerman of Denver, CO, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Louise Moody. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11AM from St. Mark's United Church of Christ, 426 N. 8th Street, Lebanon. There will be a visitation from 10:30-11 at the church.
