Harold H. Killinger

Harold H. “Bud” Killinger, 88, of 238 W. Queen Street, Annville entered into union with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday July 27, 2013 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Florence M. “Floss” Sweigert Killinger with whom he celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary this past June 1st. Born in Annville on June 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Harold R. and Elizabeth Paine Killinger. He was retired from the longitude department at Hershey Foods Corporation and also worked part time for the Hershey Trust Company. Bud was a US Army Veteran of WW II serving with Company K, 83rd Infantry Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a 1943 graduate of Annville High School, a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Annville American Legion, AARP, DAV, and the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. He was known as “Mr. Hershey Park” and enjoyed riding Hershey Park roller coasters. He loved his grandchildren, traveling, and catered to people with a servant’s heart. One of the greatest and most rewarding parts of his life was the special role he played in the lives of his granddaughters, Michelle and Melissa. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Harold J. “Buster” and wife Judi Killinger of Reinholds, a daughter Elizabeth M. wife of Rick Risser of Mt. Zion, a brother John H. Killinger of Bear, DE, two sisters Mitzi Kelley of Palmyra, Jill wife of Allen Bucks of Annville, two grandchildren Michelle Elizabeth wife of Joshua Kreiser, Melissa J. Risser, two step-grandchildren Second Lt. David R. and wife Georgia Sperry, Elizabeth A. Sperry, two step-great grandchildren Abigail L. Sperry and Joshua D. Sperry, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Betty Payetta. A Celebration of Life and Going Home service will be held on Friday at 12:00 Noon from Christ Church United Church of Christ, 200 S. White Oak Street, Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be with Full Military Honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville and also on Friday from 11-12 Noon at the Church.
