Tama Caporaletti, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away on August 22, 2021, at age 56, with several of her family members at her side. Tama was strong and courageous in a sixteen-month battle against cancer and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her journey. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, on December 29, 1964, she was the daughter of John Charles Caporaletti and Christine Lemanowicz Caporaletti. Tama was a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School and Rhema Bible Training College, Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training College, Tama returned to central Pennsylvania. She worked as an activity aide at Halcyon Activity Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of its clients, where she was also a member. Tama took great joy in supporting the mission of Halcyon Activity Center through her work there and by participating in the Center’s wonderful outreach. Tama is survived by her mother and siblings: Linda A. Caporaletti, Andrew A. and his wife Nora, Mark and his wife Amanda, John and his wife Leslie, Maria Caporaletti Boltz and her husband Brian, and Michael. She also leaves seven wonderful nieces and nephews: Stefan, Benjamin, Ashley, Livia, Finnegan, Sophia, and Elizabeth, and a delightful great-nephew and great-niece, Waylen and Delilah. Tama’s family thanks the wonderful health care professionals who cared for her throughout her journey. They include the dedicated team members from the Penn State Cancer Institute, SpiritTrust Lutheran Home Care, the 5KS team at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, and Lehigh Valley Hospice - 17th Street Inpatient Hospice. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31st, at Kreamer Funeral Home with interment in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Tama’s family lovingly asks that donations be made in her honor to Halcyon Activity Center (halcyonpsr.org).
