Nancy K. Hemler, 79, of Cleona died Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Francis D. "Frank" Hemler who died in 2018. Born in Chambersburg on November 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late R. Kenneth and Alice Miller Foust. Nancy was a graduate of Gettysburg High School, attended Juniata College and received her bachelors and masters degrees from Millersville University. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a 2nd grade teacher at Henry Houck Elementary School. She was a member of Annville Church of the Brethren and Honorary member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Annville. She was an Associate member and played the organ at various Brethren Churches including Annville, Palmyra, and Conewago and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Palmyra Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Lebanon Sweet Adeline's, Barbershop Harmony, Barbershop Quartet, and the Senior Singers of the Lebanon Choral Society. She volunteered for the Humane Society of Lebanon County and the Compeer United Way Program. Nancy had a love and passion for music, was extremely sociable, and cherished her family immensely. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, tutoring, organ piano playing, singing and her dog, Lyrics. Surviving are two sons, David A. Hemler of Uppsala, Sweden, Thomas A. Hemler husband of Carrie Hemler of Westampton, NJ, grandchildren, Zachary, Maggie, Katie, Natasja, Liam, and Linn, 3 sisters, Sandi Wright of Santa Fe, NM, Kandace Melillo wife of Joe Melillo of Harrisburg, Darlene Graybill of Marietta and a half-sister Lisa Hauenstein. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple Street, Annville. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. A visitation will be held at the Church on Friday from 10-11 AM. To view the service by Livestream, go to the Church website https://www.annvillecob.org/.
