Mary M. Spannuth Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary M. Spannuth, 96, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Spannuth, Sr. Born in Lebanon on October 31, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Barbara Schaeffer Yerema. After over 20 years of service, she retired in 1988 as the Sr. District Justice in the Bethel District. Mary was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg, where she had been active in the women’s group. She was the past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her sons Robert M. Spannuth, Jr., and his wife Cynthia of Pittsburgh, and Ronald K. husband of Barbara Spannuth of The Villages, FL; daughter Renae B. Retzlaff of The Plains, VA; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Charles E. Spannuth and sisters Lena Yerema and Anna Firestine. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church at P.O. Box 173, Fredericksburg, PA 17026 or to the Fredericksburg Fire Co., P.O. Box 323, Fredericksburg, PA 17026.
