Darlene A. Halsell, 73, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at her home. Born in Lebanon on August 27, 1948, she was the daughter of Louise Gurnee Halsell and the late Chester Halsell. Darlene worked for Kraft Foods and provided cleaning services for the Fredericksburg U.M. Church and the Bunker Hill E.C. Church. She attended the Bunker Hill Church. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and loved working on her farmette and caring for her many animals, especially her horses. She dearly loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children Abcde H. Carty and Casey H. Carty; brother Larry Halsell; sister Cathy Harmon; nieces and nephews Aimee and Justin Harmon, also Toni Tokarz and Marc Halsell and their children. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life fellowship will be held following at 1:00 p.m. at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Rt. 343 & Shirksville Rd., Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
