Beverly Mae Fortran

Beverly M. Fortran, 96, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA. Born in Johnson City, NY on June 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Edith Fortran. She graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Home Economics and taught Home Economics at Whitney Point Central School. After receiving a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of PA, she worked for Children’s Aid Society in Buffalo, NY. Beverly also worked for the Children’s Bureau in Wilmington, DE. She retired from employment at the VAMC in Lebanon, PA. Beverly is survived by 3 nieces, Susan, Deborah, Sondra, a grandnephew, Jake, a grandniece, Jennifer, and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Fortran. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity or organization of your choice in her memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is overseeing arrangements.
