Steven T. Savage

Steven T. Savage, 31, of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, February 10 at the Hershey Medical Center due to complications of his Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. Steven was born on March 30, 1990 in Harrisburg, PA. Steven is survived by his father, Thomas Savage, his mother Kathryn Gentry and step father Robert Gentry. In addition to his parents he is survived by his twin sister, Rebekah Smith (Brian), niece and God Daughter Estelle, his step brother Brian Gentry, his Paternal Grandmother Catherine Savage; Maternal Grandmother Gladys Coles, his Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ted Dzura, His Aunt Tara and Uncle Rob Swartz. Step Sister Elizabeth Freed (Joe) Niece Meghan and Nephew Patrick. His cousins Brett Dzura (Hannah), Emily Ingram (Andrew), Robert Swartz (Jesika) as well as other family and friends who loved Steven. He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandfather Harry Savage and his Maternal Grandfather John Coles. Steven is a graduate of Palmyra High School. He was a greeter at both Walmart and Lowes. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Steven had a love for sports, gardening, cooking, and decorating through the hands of others. He participated in two chili cook-offs. He loved being outside, spending time with his family and friends as well as traveling even taking a recent trip to Hilton Head South Carolina with his family. He loved spending time with his niece/God daughter and was excited to serve as a groomsman in his twin sisters wedding. He enjoyed time spent with his family and his dogs. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people and always made quite the impression on others who would remember him for his humor and gift of gab. Diagnosed at the age of 6 with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, Steven made the most out of every day. He had a strong will and a positive attitude. A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Steven's life on Friday, February 18 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church; 300 West Pine Street; Palmyra, PA. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m - 11 a.m at the church.
