Martha L. Peiffer

Martha L. Peiffer, 92, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ammon K. Peiffer, Sr. Born in Lebanon, PA on November 22nd, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Oscar K. and Eva(Laudermilch) Kreider. Martha was a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church. Martha enjoyed being outdoors, flower gardening, and mowing the lawn. Feeding the birds and watching them made her happy and kept her busy. When indoors she liked working in her kitchen. Baking, canning, and candy making brought her joy. Opera fudge was one of her specialties. She recently taught several of her granddaughters and family members how to make opera fudge. They will carry on her legacy. She was employed at Laudermilch’s in Annville for more than 21 years. Her last day of employment was January 9th, 2025. On Saturday mornings she volunteered at Blessings of Hope food bank in Leola. Her courageous battle with cancer lasted over 2.5 years. At the Sechler Cancer Center she was affectionately known as “Miss Martha.” Surviving are eight children, Marilyn Tyson, wife of Robert of Lebanon, Carolyn Koehler of Lebanon, Kathleen Ziegler, wife of Lynn of Schaefferstown, Donna Ziegler, wife of Leon of Myerstown, Heidi Bingeman, wife of Barry of Lebanon, Brenda Balmer, wife of Allen of Lebanon, Lisa Ayers, wife of Dave of Annville, Ammon K. Peiffer, Jr., husband of Brenda of Lebanon, two sisters, Erma Putt of Lebanon, Sarah Bensing of Ephrata, twenty-five grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. In addition to her husband, Martha was preceded in death by six siblings. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27th, 2025, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Lebanon Valley Bible Church, 1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon, PA 17042. An additional public viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM on Friday. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessings of Hope, P.O. Box 567 Ephrata, PA 17522, in her memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is handling arrangements.
