Frank E. Wakefield

Frank E. Wakefield, 74, of Lebanon died Wednesday June 26, 2013 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Ann Montgomery Wakefield with whom he celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary this past June 17th. Born in Huntingdon on November 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Frank and Viola Worthy Wakefield. He retired after 43 years of service as a produce manager at Weis Markets, Lebanon. Frank was a 1957 graduate of Captain Jack High School and served seven years in the PA Army National Guard. He was a member of Hill United Church of Christ where he served as Deacon from 2003-2010 and Elder in 2013, Mt. Olivet Lodge #704 where he served as Worshipful Master in 1978, Capitula Masonry Weidle Royal Arch Chapter #197 where he served as most excellent high priest in 1988, life member of the Lehigh Valley Joshua Association, Cryptic Masonry, Lebanon Council #27 where he served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 1989, Council of Anointed Kings of the Commonwealth of PA, Order of the Silver Trowel chivalric masonry, Hermit Commandery #24 where he served as Eminent Commander in 1987, life member of the Line Officers and past commanders Association of South Central PA, Knight of the York Cross ofr Honor Penn Priory #6, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Quittapahilla Forest #25 and was Grand Tall Cedar in 1983, Life member of the Tall Cedar Foundation, Past President, Past Trustee, and Life member of Quittie Woods, Inc., High Twelve Club #629, Valley of Harrisburg Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Consistory , Past President of the Lebanon Consistory, Mapleton Post #322 Memorial Home Association, and the Travelers Protective Association of America. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Brian Wakefield at home, a daughter Brenda wife of Wally Leader of Hummelstown, granddaughter Alex Leader of Hummelstown, sister Marlene wife of Bill Hancock of Mt. Union, a brother Dennis Wakefield, and two canine buddies who gave him their unconditional love-Mac and Darcy. He was preceded in death by a sister Maxine Wakefield and a half-sister Arlene Lancaster. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6-9 PM at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville where masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM by Mt. Olivet Lodge #704, Lebanon. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Grand View Memorial Park. N.
