André D. Glass, 76, of Jonestown, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Arlene E. Kohr Glass. On Oct. 12th, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Born in Deodate on May 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Alice Triest Glass. André served in the US Air Force for 22 years and retired as a MSGT with SAC. Following his retirement, he worked for 15 years in quality control for the Defense Logistics Agency at the New Cumberland Army Depot. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Jonestown, the Ashlar Lodge No. 570, a lifetime member of the Fredericksburg American Legion, lifetime member of the Gratz VFW Post 2385 and he was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Hershey Region Club. He was a proud supporter of the annual AACA Eastern Regional Fall Meet in Hershey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Micheal A. Glass and his fiancé Mary Kathleen of Center Valley; daughters Michelle Y. wife of Foster Kreiser of New Cumberland and Andrea M. wife of David Purcell of Palmyra; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother Jon H. Glass of Mount Dora, FL; sisters Jill Nye and Angela Banzof, both of Hummelstown, Fernanda Glass of Lancaster and Sandra Glass of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by brothers Ferdinand and Michael Glass and his sisters Mary Caine and Shirley Geadrities. André’s life will be celebrated on Sunday April 2nd, during a Masonic Service at 4 p.m. This service will be immediately followed by a viewing until 6:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Please join André’s loving family for A Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the Soldier’s and Airmen’s Memorial Chapel, Ft. Indiantown Gap. There will be no viewing prior to the service at the Chapel. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
