Alda Guilluame Casseus

Alda Guilluame Casseus went to be with her Lord on January 5, 2018. Born in Port de Paix, Haiti, on March 4, 1932, she was the wife of the late Daniel B. Casseus, Sr., whom she married in July 1959. They were married for 36 years. Alda is survived by her four children Ronald, Daniel, Tania & Nadine; nine grandchildren, Patrick Aishah, Maliwa, Katiti, Jhasnelle, Jaydiene, Isaiah, Daniel III and Gianna; and one great grandchild Timeshah. She was preceded in death by her son Hantz. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Life Connection Church, 1384 Park Dr., Palmyra. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at the Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp. Eulogies are usually so solemn and sad. Today I refuse to be solemn or sad. I choose to glorify, praise and thank God for blessing our lives with such an amazing person. She was not only an amazing mother and grandmother, but she was also a fantastic person. When I think of her, the words that come to mind are love, joy, sacrifice and selflessness. She spent her whole life sacrificing for her family. She had no hidden talents, though she could sometimes scare you with her dreams and revelations. She did not have a PhD or financial success; she struggled daily to pay bills. What she did have was immeasurable. It could not be tallied or weighed by standard means of success. They say success is not how much money you have or things you possess. Success is how you've impacted others and how many were better because of it. In that regard, Alda was priceless. She was 5 ft. tall and 115 lbs. of love, faith, and inspiration. Her life was a testimony of love and faith in God. She lived her life according to her faith and always tried to instill that faith into her family. Because of her faith and because she believed so deeply in our God, she had a light that shone through her no matter what the circumstance. I then refuse to be sad for she has gone home to the place where all Christians hope to go. She is now living everlastingly, and her light is eternal. She is where she belongs, and, whatever triumphs escaped her here, I know she's dancing triumphantly with the Lord, her husband and her son. Now I would like all to stand, clap, and thank her for letting us be a part of her journey here on earth. Thank you, mommy. We love you and will miss you. Amen.
