Jelena G. Derr, 56, of Myerstown, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 , at her home after a short illness. She was the wife of John C. Derr, and on February 19th, they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon on June 14, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Janet Hoffa Hoover. She was employed at Maple Press in Fredericksburg and was a member of the Myerstown Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Matthew J. husband of Sarah Derr of Myerstown; daughters Randi J. wife of David Rittel of Richland, Jessie Derr-Moore of Myerstown and Jamie L. wife of Eric Shipe of Fredericksburg; brothers Lonald D. Hoover of Lebanon and Mitchell A. H. Hoover of Fillmore, IN and grandchildren Riley Rittel, Madelyn Moore, Jacob Moore, Keegan Rittel and Landon Derr and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Millbach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1274, Lebnaon, PA 17042 or to the GSH-Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042.
