Richard W. Vindich, 74, of Grantville, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Janet E. Ditzler Vindich and on June 11th they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon on September 18, 1937, he was the son of the late John and Anna Mae Litz Vindich, Sr. He retired as the Chief Inspector of the Division of Boilers & Bureau of Occupation & Industrial Safety and was the former President of the Lebanon Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Fellowship International. He was an avid hunter and fisher and enjoyed sailing and hiking. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was also a Shellback. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Durie S. Vindich of Port St. Joe, FL and Trace B. Vindich, who is serving in the US Navy and his daughter Marianna J. wife of Frank Esworthy of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by brothers John & Joseph. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Viewing will be a half hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp. No flowers, but you may donate to a charity of your choice in Dick’s Memory.
