Marie E. Bretzius, formerly of Palmyra died Monday April 9, 2012 in the Abington Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Robert C. Bretzius to whom she was married for 64 years. Born in Rothenburg-Oder, Germany on March 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Freida Swabe Schmolke. She was a member of Bindagle’s Lutheran Church, Palmyra. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters Ingrid wife of Dennis Miller of Palmyra, Karla wife of George Ballas of Warrington, PA, a sister Gertrude Kupke of Konow, Hansdorf, Germany, four grandchildren Eric husband of Stacey Miller, Alan husband of Laura Miller, Justin husband of Melissa Spahr, Kristen Spahr, and two great grandchildren Mason and Marissa Miller. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
